of Education Adopts Assessment Tools TUCSON,
AZ/ October 5, 2006 - The Arizona Department of Education recently
adopted four systems including Galileo Plus, Assessment Technology,
Incorporated's Educational Management System, for progress monitoring
and measuring outcome indicators in preschool children ages three
through five years.
Galileo Plus is
a fully integrated system for use in developmentally appropriate
assessment, curriculum implementation, multi-level and multi-year
real-time progress and outcome reporting, and family involvement.
Galileo easy-to-use technology is the first system of its kind to
fully integrate online and offline capabilities within one system
at one cost.
Tools
for Reliably Assessing Development
- One Integrated System to Promote Development
Make sound decisions to promote children's development and learning
through Galileo Plus's real-time progress and outcome reporting.
Use assessment information obtained through Galileo's patented
technology to plan learning opportunities matching developmentally
appropriate activities to child's learning needs.
-
Galileo Scales Align to Arizona Early Learning Standards
Use Galileo scales to assess children's progress on empirically
validated developmental sequences. Provide parents with both immediate
feedback on learning and appropriate home activities.
- Multi-Method Approach
Use the Galileo multi-method assessment approach without disrupting
the child's daily activities. Using ongoing purposeful observation,
anecdotal narratives, representative samples of children's work,
and family involvement/input, Galileo organizes the data into
a mosaic that reveals a comprehensive portrait of the child's
development as a whole.
