The Information Technology (IT) Department plays a significant role in the daily functioning and in the long term planning of ATI. The IT Department is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining system architecture, optimizing performance of all hardware and software used to deliver Galileo services to ATI clients, performing client and in-house technical support, and managing the client data import and export programs.


Position Description:

The primary function of the two Associate Systems Administrators is to work together to ensure that the company computers, local area network, databases, and web/application servers run effectively and efficiently. An additional function of these two positions is to perform uploads of client Student Information System (SIS) enrollment and demographic information into the Galileo database, managing the Galileo Data Import (GDI) program as well as exports of student performance data from the Galileo database, managing the Galileo Data Export (GDE) program. This position 1) monitors network/server performance and ensures continued operation of IT systems; 2) performs server/hardware upgrades of all Galileo application-related systems; 3) ensures company assets are tracked in a centralized database; 4) performs in-house desktop and software troubleshooting and new end-user desktop system implementation; 5) serves as a back-up to the Desktop Support Engineer for technical/desktop support; 6) is responsible for developing and implementing a backup plan for file servers and all databases, and; 7) acts as part of an IT after-hours emergency response team, acting independently and coordinating with the Department Director and Systems Engineer when necessary to resolve server/hardware issues during response activities.
